Configure the import of IBM® Knowledge Catalog metadata
into IBM OpenPages®.
Before you begin
- Get your IBM Knowledge Catalog credentials. For more information, see
step 5. The username must have access to the data that
you want to import. To generate an API key, see Generating API keys for authentication.
- Get the following information:
- Your IBM Cloud Pak® for Data URL.
- The classifications in IBM Knowledge Catalog that you want to
import.
- Set up a certificate. For more information, see one of the following topics:

- If you're using a self-signed certificate or a certificate authority (CA) that is not known, you
must import an SSL certificate from IBM Knowledge Catalog to the local
truststore on your application servers. For more information, see Importing a certificate for connections to services on IBM Cloud Pak for Data.
About this task
To do this task, you need the following application permissions:
Procedure
- Log in to OpenPages.
- Click .

Click the Data Privacy WKC Import job.

Click Edit.
- Enter your credentials.
: You must use a
ZenApiKey authorization token. Set Use Zen API Key
Authorization to true, enter your IBM Knowledge Catalog API key and username, and then type
undefined in the Password field.
: Do one of the following steps:
- If IBM Knowledge Catalog is in a different instance than OpenPages, you must use a
ZenApiKey
authorization token. Set Use Zen API Key Authorization to
true, enter your API key and username, and then type
undefined in the Password field.
- If IBM Knowledge Catalog is in the same instance as OpenPages, you can use either a username and an API
key or a username and password.
To use an API key, enter your IBM Knowledge Catalog API key and username, set Use Zen API Key
Authorization to false, and then type undefined
in the Password field.
To use a password, enter your IBM Knowledge Catalog password and username, set Use Zen API Key
Authorization to false, and then type undefined
in the API Key field.

Configure the connector:
- Click Base URL and type your IBM Cloud Pak for Data URL.
- Verify the value in the Parent Entity Path field. The objects that are
created during the import are created under this path. You can use the default or specify another
path.
- Click WKC Classifications and type a comma-separated
list of classifications. Assets with these classifications will be imported. The classification
names must match the names in IBM Knowledge Catalog.
For example,
Sensitive Personal Information,Personally Identifiable Information,Electronic Protected
Health Information
- If you want to reload all data, click Reload All and set it to
true. if you want to import only new data, set it to false.
- In the Schedule section, click Edit. Set the
schedule for the import.

Click Done.
The connector is configured and the
import is scheduled.
- If you want to import data from IBM Knowledge Catalog
now, click the checkbox next to the Data Privacy WKC Import job and then
click
.
What to do next
To see the progress of an import, go to . click the
Data Privacy WKC Import job, and then click the
Executions tab. Click a process to view the log.
