Response Time Summary workspace

The Response Time Summary workspace is the primary workspace of the Response Time Analysis node on the physical navigator tree. It shows an analysis of the performance of completed transactions over the past minute as they pass through a Gateway daemon or WebSphere® Application Server servant regions. It provides a means of viewing the performance of recent throughput and response time of transactions passing through this each address space sharing this jobname. From this workspace, you can identify if there are performance issues with any specific address space and drill down to the Response Time Details workspace to investigate the transaction type and targeted CICS® regions that may be causing the problem.

This workspace contains the following views:

The Transaction Summary for Current Minute table is multi-row and displays a row for each active address space with this jobname. If the monitored address space is a Gateway daemon, there will be at most one row in this table. If the monitored application is a WebSphere Application Server, there will a single row for each individual servant that shared this jobname. Selecting a transaction links you to the Response Time Details workspace.
The Completed Transaction Average Response Time by ASID bar chart displays a bar for each active servant with this jobname. The x axis of each bar is labelled with the address space identifier (ASID), while the y axis shows the response time for these completed transactions. If the monitored address space is a Gateway daemon, there will be at most one bar in this chart. If the monitored application is a WebSphere Application server, there will be a single bar for each individual servant that shared this jobname.
The Transactions Per Second by ASID bar chart shows the average throughput of each address space with this jobname over the past minute. The x axis of each bar is labelled with the address space identifier (ASID), while the y axis shows the average number of transactions that completed during the last minute. If the monitored address space is a Gateway daemon, there will be at most one bar in this chart. If the monitored application is a WebSphere Application Server, there will a single bar for each individual servant that shared this jobname.

Note: Data is only present in this workspace if transaction monitoring has been configured for this address space and there has been at least one completed transaction during the last minute.
