Self-describing agent processing fails; Java root directory is not valid

If you use the path for the Java root directory as it is displayed on the Specify TEMS Self-Describing Agent Values panel, and it does not match the Java path in your environment, you will receive error messages.

The self-describing agent (SDA) feature requires that you have Java version 1.5.0 (also known as Java 5.0) or higher installed in your environment. In the Configuration Tool, the Specify TEMS Self-Describing Agent Values panel displays the Java root directory for the TEMS_JAVA_BINPATH parameter.

For example:
(0008-D772CCCB:kfasdwlm.c,777,"KFASDM_RequestMgr") KFASDM_InstallSDpackage failed
     status <1011>.
product code <CP> product version <05100163> managed system <RKCPXM03:XXXX:CPIRA>
     thrunode <NODE>
KFASD102 Self-Describing Install Failed with STATUS <1011> for PRODUCT <CP>,
     VER <05100163>, ID <TMS>,

If SDA processing fails due to an invalid Java root directory path, error messages are written to the hub Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server started task RKLVLOG output. If you see these messages in the hub Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server RKLVLOG output, verify with your system administrator that you have the correct Java path, and, if needed, enter the correct path using the GBL_HFS_JAVA_DIRn parameter in PARMGEN.
