Installing ADABAS support

The Tivoli® OMEGAMON® support for ADABAS has two user exits that you must assemble and link-edit into the ADABAS/CICS interface module during installation.

There are several versions of the exits provided by OMEGAMON, which one you require, depends on your ADABAS version and configuration.

If you are using a driver program to run multiple exits at either ADABAS exit point, you must modify the supplied exits to conform to the standards required by the driver program.

If you are a user of ADABAS and Software AG's VISTA, use the VISTA file translation facility. If you want to monitor FILE/DATABASE usage using the file numbers as translated by VISTA, use the exits and JCL defined in the KOCADAVI member of thilev.TKANSAM library. If you do not need to monitor the VISTA translated FILE / DATABASE number, use the ADABAS sample exits for your version of ADABAS.

If you are using ADABAS Version 7, and you are not using the VISTA exits, use the exits and JCL defined in the KOCADAV7 member of thilev.TKANSAM library. See the KOCADV7I member of thilev.TKANSAM library for further instructions.
