Adding agent preferences for a CICSplex

It is possible to add agent preferences for a CICSplex that has already been defined or one that is not defined to OMEGAMON®, but is derived from CICSPlex® System Manager (CPSM). Follow this procedure to add agent preferences for an existing CICSplex or a CICSplex derived from CPSM.

To add new preferences for a CICSplex agent, use these steps:
  1. From the Preferences For All CICSplex Agents subpanel of the CICSplex Rules and Agent Preferences panel, enter either an A or a / next to a CICSplex Name.

    The A takes you directly to the Add Preferences for a CICSplex Agent panel, while the / displays the Action Command Menu.

    1. On the Action Command Menu, type an A or 1next to 1. A Add Preferences for a CICSplex Agent and press Enter.
  2. On the Add Preferences for a CICSPlex agent panel, use the input fields to enter your new agent preferences.

  3. Once you have completed the fields, press Enter to add the agent preferences for your CICSplex.

    If you see an error message, correct the input field and press Enter again to continue.

  4. A message is displayed in the Take Action Results panel indicating that the agent preferences for the CICSplex were successfully added. For example: 
    KCPPR1399I: The agent preferences for CICSplex cicsplex_name were successfully added.
