Summarization and Pruning agent fails to run as scheduled

The summarization and pruning agent provides the ability to customize the length of time to save data (pruning) and how often to compress data (summarization).

This agent is configured to determine how much data you summarize and how often you perform this space-saving operation. For more information about this agent, refer to the IBM Tivoli Monitoring: Administrator's Guide.

If the summarization and pruning agent fails to run on schedule, it is possible that the UADVISOR_KSY_ENABLE situation is not started on the hub Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server. You can determine if this is your problem if you search the RKLVLOG output for the Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server on z/OS, and fail to find the UADVISOR_KSY_ENABLE situation.
