OMEGAMON AI for CICS component
OMEGAMON AI for CICS is a component within the OMEGAMON AI for CICS on z/OS base product.
The OMEGAMON AI for CICS component enables you to do the following tasks:
- Manage performance and availability of IBM® CICS® systems from a single integrated interface
- Resolve common problem scenarios that span multiple CICS regions using the OMEGAMON enhanced 3270 user interface set of predefined workspaces
- Monitor groups of CICS regions as a CICSplex. It can help resolve problems spanning multiple regions.
- Locate and monitor transactions that participate in a composite transaction across a defined CICSplex.
- Monitor transactions to understand how resource usage and performance affect internal users and customers
- Identify tasks waiting for specific resources and pinpoint excessive wait times to resolve issues quickly
- Monitor virtual storage access method (VSAM) files, identify record-level sharing locks and facilitate rapid resolution to maximize availability
- Correlate CICS log streams with associated facility structures to fine-tune CICS systems for optimal performance
- Integrate information from other OMEGAMON® monitors across multiple and third-party software into a single view
- Monitor CICS Transaction Server for z/OS®, Version 4.2 with respect to additional LSR Pools and record sequential delimited file system monitoring capabilities
