Planning your configuration

This section contains information concerning your configuration planning as it relates to the OMEGAMON for CICS on z/OS, OMEGAMON for CICS TG on z/OS, and OMEGAMON for CICS (3270) monitoring components.

The configuration of the Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server and the OMEGAMON enhanced 3270 user interface is discussed in the OMEGAMON shared documentation.

If you are installing the OMEGAMON for CICS on z/OS base product for the first time, read the entire section. If you are upgrading from a prior version, you can proceed to Upgrading to the new release after you have reviewed the configuration requirements for this release.
