Installation images

Before you integrate IBM Z® Resource Discovery with ServiceNow, you must install IBM® Discovery Library Adapter for z/OS®, IBM Z Resource Discovery - Data Service and IBM Z Operations Analytics Common. The original product installation images are available from IBM ShopZ.

Maintenance is distributed:

as PTFs via IBM ShopZ for z/OS-based components
as Fix Packs via IBM Fix Central for Linux®-based components

For z/OS

You must obtain the following FMID from the IBM ShopZ:

HIZD320: IBM Discovery Library Adapter for z/OS 3.2.0

For Linux

You must obtain the following DVD images from IBM ShopZ:

LC28-3258-01: IBM Z Resource Discovery - Data Service
LC28-3255-01: IBM Z Operations Analytics Common

To integrate with ServiceNow CMDB, you must get the latest fix pack 14 for IBM Z Operational Log and Data Analytics, visit IBM Fix Central.

Fix Pack images for the Linux-based components can be used for upgrading installations as well as new installations. You can always check IBM Fix Central for available Fix Pack images first, and if there are Fix Pack images available, use the Fix Pack images instead of the original DVD images from IBM ShopZ to install the ServiceNow Change Management Database integration solution.
