Monitoring ADABAS Database Details

With these workspaces you can monitor the status of the ADABAS Database Details data. You access the workspaces through the ADABAS Summary node in the Tivoli® Enterprise Portal.

Navigating the workspaces of the ADABAS Summary node

This section summarizes the workspace links that are available through the Navigator node. Depending on your monitoring goal, you follow a specific series of links to get detailed information about storage resources.

You start in the ADABAS Summary node to navigate to the workspaces that you see in the following hierarchy of linked workspaces. You can access the workspaces in the following using the standard path and method for navigating workspaces:

Views

This workspace provides the following views. For a description of the attributes used as column headings in the workspace table view, review the attribute group definitions for this workspace in the online help. The help resource includes attribute descriptions that are displayed when you hover with the mouse pointer over a column heading.

ADABAS Databases table view

The table view displays one row of data for each ADABAS database configured in the reporting ADABAS subsystem. The view contains the following information:

The SMS name of the system
Collection time
ADABAS version
Database name and ID
SVC number
Max files
The most recent data protextion log
Database load time
The number of files loaded to the database
Length of the blocks in the database
File extents allocated for the data storage space table in blocks
The total number of bytes, blocks, and cylinders allocated, used, and unused, for the DATA and ASSO components
Percent of the storage allocated for DATA and ASSO usage
The checkpoint file, security file, and trigger file numbers
The host name
The SYSPLEX name

The ADABAS Volumes Report provides a list of the volumes in the ADABAS subsystem, with information on each volume:
