Storage Tookit for Realtime Dataset Metrics

With the Storage Toolkit feature, you can use the actions in the Realtime Dataset Metrics (RDM) interface.

The Storage Toolkit actions provide access to mainframe operations to use target resources, such as volumes and mainframe datasets. For example, you use the actions to migrate datasets or release free space. You can use this feature with most of the RDM views.

Note: These actions are only available in Realtime Dataset Metrics application, they are not available in TEP.
To access user actions, select and right-click rows in the workspaces that have action menus, select User Actions from the context menu, and then choose the appropriate action from the submenu. When you select an action, a dialog box is displayed in which you configure the action and submit the request.

Session Jobs

The RDM interface contains a special view of Session Jobs that represents and lists all the jobs committed during the current login session. If the redirect to result is enabled after submitting Storage Toolkit action, it automatically opens the Session Jobs view. You can also access the Session Jobs view from the Storage Toolkit view for easy viewing of last job results. For more information, see Storage Toolkit.
