How properties and attributes are matched

Datasets that match any of the properties and all of the attributes that you specify will be included in your group.

For properties, logical OR is used. For attributes, logical AND is used. Logical AND is used between properties and attributes. As a result, the dataset attribute group definition looks like the following:

(Property1 OR Property2 OR ... OR PropertyN) AND (Attrbibute1 AND Attrbibute2 AND ... AND AttrbibuteM)

For example, if you want to overview large datasets that reference more than 180 days for specific storage groups, you could create a dataset attribute group with several storage groups defined in the Properties tab, and then define the Allocated Tracks with Days Since Reference attribute in the Attributes tab.
