Catalog Dataset Attributes

The Catalog Dataset Attributes attribute group provides dataset attributes for catalogs. This data is required for efficient catalog management and setting situations to get alerts.

Allocation Type: The unit type used to allocate DASD space for the catalog.

Cache Type: The type of cache.

Catalog Name: The catalog name.

CIs per CA: The number of control intervals in the control area for the catalog.

CI Size: The control interval size, in bytes, for the catalog.

Collection Time: The time when data was collected.

Extents: The number of DASD extents used by the catalog.

Is Extendable: The flag if the catalog can be extended on the volume.

High Allocated RBA: The high-allocated RBA (Relative Byte Addresses) for the catalog.

High Used RBA: The high-used RBA (Relative Byte Addresses) for the catalog.

Largest Free Extent In Alloc Type: The largest Volume Free Extent calculated in Allocation Type.

Locked: The catalog locked status.

Managed System: An internal node name used to identify the system from which this row of data was obtained.

Max Possible Extensions: The number of maximum possible extends in the largest volume free extend on which the catalog resides.

Primary Allocation: The primary space allocation of DASD space for the catalog.

Secondary Allocation: The secondary space allocation of DASD space for the catalog.

Shared: The catalog shared status.

SMS Managed: The SMS-managed status.

Used CAs: The number of control areas within the HURBA for the catalog.

Volume: The volume where the catalog resides.

% Used CAs: The percentage of the HARBA for the catalog.

% 4GB Limit: The HURBA expressed as a percentage of 4 GB.
