VTAM IO workspace

The VTAM^(R) I/O workspace provides additional I/O statistics for the selected VTAM address space. The workspace is displayed by right-clicking on the Link icon for a row in either the VTAM Address Summary table or by right-clicking on the Address Space Navigator item.

The VTAM IO workspace displays the following views:

• Total SIO Count: Displays in a bar graph the relative amount total SIO being used by each of the six SIO types:
  • DASD
  • NCP
  • CTC (channel to channel adapter)
  • Local SNA (local SNA controllers)
  • Local Non-SNA (all local non-SNA devices)
  • Other (all other devices)
• SIO Rate Per Second: Displays in a bar graph the SIO rate in second for each of the six SIO types:
  • DASD
  • NCP
  • CTC (channel to channel adapter)
  • Local SNA (local SNA controllers)
  • Local Non-SNA (all local non-SNA devices)
  • Other (all other devices)
• VTAM IO Summary table: Provides a summary of the VTAM IO information provided in the bar and graph charts in the VTAM IO workspace.
