OSA LPARs workspace

The OSA LPARs workspace provides OSA channel statistics for each LPAR.

This workspace is displayed by clicking on the Link icon for a specific channel in the OSA-Express Channels Summary table in the OSA Channels workspace.

Summary information is provided in the LPARs Usage Summary for Channel abc Summary table located at the bottom of the workspace.

The OSA LPARs workspace contains the following views:

  • Processor Utilization > 0: Displays data in a bar chart showing the average percentage of time that the CHPID processor was used to transfer data for a specific LPAR. The information is presented in a bar graph where:
    • Yellow represents data collected over a 1-minute interval.
    • Blue represent data collected over a 5-minute interval.
    • Pink represents data collected over a 1-hour interval.
    This data applies to a channel selected from the OSA Channels workspace
  • Input Kilobyte Rate > 0: Displays in a bar chart the average number of kilobytes received that were processed for a specific LPAR. The information is presented in a bar graph where:
    • Yellow represents data collected over a 1-minute interval.
    • Blue represent data collected over a 5-minute interval.
    • Pink represents data collected over a 1-hour interval.
    This data applies to a channel selected from the OSA Channels workspace.
  • Output Kilobyte Rate > 0: Displays in a bar chart the average number of kilobytes sent that were processed for a specific LPAR. The information is presented in a bar graph where:
    • Yellow represents data collected over a 1-minute interval.
    • Blue represent data collected over a 5-minute interval.
    • Pink represents data collected over a 1-hour interval.
    This data applies to a channel selected from the OSA Channels workspace.
  • LPARs Usage Summary for Channel abc Summary table: Displays channel-usage data, such as the LPAR name and number, the kilobyte rate in, the kilobyte rate out, and the processor utilization, where abc is the channel number. This data applies to a channel selected from the OSA Channels workspace.
