FTP Transfers for Session workspace

The FTP Transfers for Session workspace displays all FTP transfers that were completed or became active within the display interval for a selected FTP session. Active transfers that were initiated before the display interval are not displayed. This workspace is designed to work with IBM® Z OMEGAMON® AI for Networks V5.1.1 agents and later. Agents running at a code level prior to V5.1.1 do not display data in this workspace. The attributes in this workspace are available from all supported versions of z/OS.

Navigating to the FTP Transfers for Session workspace requires that an administrator has assigned the Tivoli Enterprise Portal user access to the Enterprise Networks navigator view using the Administer Users dialog. See the IBM® Z OMEGAMON® AI for Networks: Tivoli Enterprise Portal User’s Guide for information about assigning this role. If you do not have access, contact your system administrator.

To navigate to the FTP Transfers for Session workspace, do the following:

  1. Select Enterprise_Networks from the View drop-down menu in the Navigator view.
  2. Right-click the Enterprise Networks folder in the Navigator view to display the list of alternate workspaces.
  3. Select the Enterprise FTP Sessions Overview workspace from the list.
  4. Right-click on the Link icon in the FTP Session Failures or FTP Sessions summary table and select FTP Transfers for Session.

The following product-specific Take Action Commands can be issued from this workspace:

The FTP Transfers for Session workspace contains the following views:
  • Transmission Time: Displays the transmission duration for completed FTP transfers for the selected FTP session. This information is presented in a bar chart, where:
    • Yellow represents Transmission Duration
  • Total Bytes: Displays the Bytes Transferred for complete FTP transfers for the selected FTP session. This information is presented in a bar chart, where:
    • Yellow represents Bytes Transferred.
  • FTP Transfer Count by Last Reply: Displays the FTP transfers grouped by the last reply to client. A count of the number of FTP transfers for each reply is displayed. This information is presented in a bar chart.
  • FTP Transfers for Session with Application_Name Summary table: Displays data about the FTP transfers that were started over a display interval for the selected FTP session. Each row in this table links to the following workspaces:
