Enterprise EE Connections Overview workspace

The Enterprise EE Connections Overview workspace displays performance data for Enterprise Extender (EE) connections across the enterprise when the IP address for one end of an EE connection is located on a monitored z/OS system image. This workspace is designed to work with IBM® Z OMEGAMON® AI for Networks V5.1.1 agents and later. Monitoring agents running with earlier versions of IBM® Z OMEGAMON® AI for Networks will not display data in this workspace. The attributes in this workspace are available from all supported versions of z/OS.

Long-term history is not displayed in the Enterprise Network workspaces. The queries in the Enterprise Networks workspaces use clauses that are not supported by Tivoli Data Warehouse. You can view long-term history for the same attribute groups from workspaces accessed from the physical navigator.

The Enterprise EE Connections Overview workspace requires that an administrator has assigned the Tivoli Enterprise Portal user access to the Enterprise Networks navigator view using the Administer Users dialog. See the IBM® Z OMEGAMON® AI for Networks: Tivoli Enterprise Portal User’s Guide for information about assigning this role. If you do not have access, contact your system administrator.

The Enterprise EE Connections Overview workspace contains the following views:
  • Enterprise Network Navigation: Provides quick access to all enterprise-level workspaces. See Figure 4 for more information.
  • Percent Packets Retransmitted >= 5: Displays the percentage of packets retransmitted for each EE connection where the percentage of packets retransmitted is greater than or equal to five across the enterprise. The information is presented in a bar graph, where:
    • Yellow represents the packet retransmission percentage for each EE connection.
  • RTP Pipes > 10 or Sessions > 1000: Displays the RTP Pipes and Sessions for each EE connection across the enterprise where the number of RTP pipes that are flowing over this EE Connection exceeds 10 or the number of LU-to-LU sessions flowing over this EE connection exceeds 1000. The information is presented in a bar graph, where:
    • Yellow represents the number of RTP Pipes for each EE connection
    • Blue represents the number of LU-to-LU sessions for each EE connection.
  • Byte Rate > 0: Displays the transmit byte rate and receive byte rate for each EE connection across the enterprise with a byte rate > 0. The information is presented in a bar graph, where:
    • Yellow represents the Transmit Byte Rate for each EE connection.
    • Blue represents the Receive Byte Rate for each EE connection.
  • Enterprise Extender Connections Summary table: Displays data about the EE connections across the enterprise. Each row in this table links to the following workspace:
