Customizing filters and queries by setting site or user profile variables
When you navigate to a workspace or invoke a command, there are default values for query and workspace filters. The query and workspace filters limit the data that is displayed, with the goal that only the most interesting resources are displayed.
User profile variables
You can customize filters and queries by setting site or user profile variables. The site and user profiles are members of the rtename.TKOBDATF dataset. You may set site or user profile variables to provide your own default values that are used in workspace queries, user filters, FIND dialogs, and Take Action command dialogs.
The syntax for setting a user profile variable is:
SET [variable] = [value]
For
example, to display all TCP Listeners, not just those that have had
connections rejected due to the backlog limit being exceeded, in the
Enterprise TCP Listeners Overview workspace:
SET KN3TCLO_TBKLOGREJ = 0
SET KN3TCLO_TBKLOGREJ_OPER = '>='Note:
- Valid values for operators are =, <, >, <=, >=, and <>. These are the same values that you specify in the workspace filters (View -> Filters) dialog.
- Workspace filters are displayed in the View -> Filters dialog.
