Sampled and on-demand tables
Sampled and on-demand tables list the tables that are used in IBM® MQ Monitoring Agent, their data collection mode, and their supported operating systems. Data collection is categorized as follows:
- Sampled
- This data is collected regularly at a specific time interval. Data that is returned by a query that uses sampled data represents values that are recorded during the sample interval processing. Please see the SAMPINT parameter setting for the sample interval that the agent is using. Note that for most sampled data, there are three levels of data: current, recent, and historical. The table available for situations and main workspaces contains the most current sample of data. The so-called short-term history table contains recent samples of data for several intervals as maintained in agent memory. The so-called long-term history table is used for historical collection recording and display. .
- On-demand
- For on-demand data, the same table is used for situations, workspaces and historical collection recording and display.
- Background-collected
- This data is collected in the background when it is published by the queue manager (in events or accounting and statistics reports). Querying this data results in a maximum of one row of data per event or queue manager report returned (depending on the query parameters). Most of this data is optionally produced by the queue manager according to the parameter settings in the queue manager. Some of the data is produced by the queue manager on an interval basis, and there are parameters for the queue manager that control the length of the interval.
