IBM OMEGAMON for JVM on z/OS, Version 5.4.0

Common problems and solutions

Use the following examples to resolve or prevent common problems from occurring when you use the OMEGAMON® for JVM feature.

In addition to reviewing the common or known problems that are specific to the OMEGAMON for JVM feature, you can consult the IBM Tivoli Monitoring: Troubleshooting Guide and IBM Tivoli Monitoring: Messages Guide for issues that are commonly encountered with IBM® Tivoli® Monitoring components. The troubleshooting information in the IBM Knowledge Center for the various products in the OMEGAMON XE family might also be a helpful resource. If you experience a problem when you use the OMEGAMON enhanced 3270 user interface (enhanced 3270UI), review OMEGAMON enhanced 3270 user interface: Troubleshooting in OMEGAMON XE shared documentation Version 6.3.0 Fix Pack 2 and above.

OMEGAMON for JVM also provides workspace-level help for the enhanced 3270UI workspaces that it provides. The help for a workspace explains the workspace and the subpanels and data that it contains. Use the help to understand what the data means and how to interpret it to solve Java virtual machine (JVM) problems. In many cases, the help also contains advice to assist you in resolving a JVM issue. To access the help for a workspace in the enhanced 3270UI, navigate to the workspace, then type the help command on the command line or in the input area of the action bar and press Enter.
