A workspace displays no data or does not show all the data that you expected

You click a navigation item or you click a link and the workspace either displays no data or does not show all the data that you expect.

Before you begin

Many of the workspaces that are provided in the IBM® OMEGAMON® for IMS on z/OS® product have pre-defined filters. These filters restrict the data that is displayed to rows that might interest a user. You can change the filters to suit your needs. See the IBM Tivoli OMEGAMON for IMS on z/OS: User's Guide for information about the filters that are defined for the product-provided workspaces. See the IBM Tivoli® Monitoring: Tivoli Enterprise Portal User's Guide for information about customizing workspaces and views.

Procedure

  1. To view or change the filters that are defined to a workspace, complete these steps:
    1. Right-click in the view and select Properties....
    2. Click Select a Query.
    3. Select the Filters tab.
    4. Edit the filters to meet the needs of your enterprise.
      Some queries are used by multiple views and workspaces. If you change the query filter, you change the behavior of all views and workspaces that use the query.
  2. After you finish troubleshooting any filtering issues, consider the agent task for the monitored IMS as follows:
    1. View RKLVLOG and JESMSGLG for any error messages or abends that might explain why the workspace is not receiving any data.
    2. Investigate whether Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability (RAS1) tracing for the product is turned on to produce trace messages on RKLVLOG.
