When you use the KOBVTAM logon screen to log on, the exit
routine can cause OMEGAMON for
IMS
Classic to
stop an unauthorized logon. Another advantage is that all security
checks are based on the logon ID of the user and not on the authority
of OMEGAMON for
IMS
Classic address
space.
Procedure
-
Log on through VTAM®, OMEGAMON for
IMS
Classic
A logon panel for the
OMEGAMON for
IMS
Classic
VTAM application program (KOBVTAM) displays. The same
VTAM logon panel also displays for ISPF and TSO modes
because
OMEGAMON for
IMS
Classic also uses the
OMEGAMON for
IMS
Classic
VTAM application program for these modes.
The
copyright screen that displays at logon time comprises more fields for user ID, Password,
Group, and New Password.
-
If you are in an active VTAM session and you want to
alter the external security level of authorization, use the relogon feature.
