External Subsystems attributes

Use the External Subsystems attributes to view status information on Db2 and MQ external subsystems.

Active Threads Deprecated. Use Active Regions attribute in Subsystem Connections attributes instead.

Address Space ID The z/OS address space ID. Valid format is hexadecimal.

Address Space ID CH The z/OS address space ID character. Valid character format is hexadecimal.

Connection Status Indicates the connection status for this external subsystem to the IMS control region. Valid values include Active, Connected, Not-Defined, Unusable, Not-Conn, Conn-Pend, Stop-Pend, Stopped, and Term-Pend.

Control Module The name of the Db2 control module. Valid format is a text string of up to 8 alphanumeric characters.

CTLRGN but no DEPRGN Indicates the external subsystem is defined to the Control region but not to any Dependent regions. Valid values include Yes and No.

DEPRGN but no CTLRGN Indicates the external subsystem is defined to the Dependent region but not to the Control region. Valid values include Yes and No.

Error Handling Indicates action to be taken on an error. Valid values include Return Application (return an error code to the application so it can handle it), Queue Application (ignore the error and continue processing), and Abend Application (terminate the application and discard all input).

External Subsystem Status Indicates the external subsystem process being performed when an external subsystem call is in progress. Valid values include Abort, Command, Commit, Cre-Thrd, Echo, Iden, Init, Idle, MQ-Call, Not-Conn, Not-Def, Prepare, Resolve, Signon, Signoff, SQL-Call, Not-Oper, Trm-Iden, Trm-Thrd, Term, Unknown, and Unusable.

IMS ID The IMS Subsystem identifier. Valid format is a text string of up to 4 alphanumeric characters, for example, IMSA.

Language Interface Token Indicates the name of the Language Interface Token. Valid format is a text string of up to 8 alphanumeric characters.

Message Ident This identifier ties a group of messages to a specific table. Valid format is a text string of up to 4 alphanumeric characters.

MVS ID The MVS System Management Facility (SMF) identifier. Valid format is a text string of up to 4 alphanumeric characters.

Originating System Identifier Fully identifies the originating IMS subsystem. Valid format is a text string of up to 32 alphanumeric characters, for example, I91A:SP22:IMS.

PSB Name The PSB name that is currently running in the subject region. Valid format is a text string of up to 8 alphanumeric characters.

Recognition Code Indicates the subsystem recognition code.

Region ID Indicates the region identification number.

Region Name The JOB name of the dependent region that subsystem is connected to. Valid format is a text string of up to 8 alphanumeric characters.

Resource Translation Table The name of the Resource Translation Table. Valid format is a text string of up to 8 alphanumeric characters.

Running Status Indicates the running status for this external subsystem within the IMS control region. Valid values include Connected, Not_Defined, Idle, Phase_1_Sync, Phase_2_Sync, SQL_Call, Terminate_Thread, Unusable, Not_Conn, and MQ_Call. Note that the Running Status attribute is obsolete. Use the External Subsystem Status attribute, instead.

Subsystem Name The name of the subject external subsystem. Valid format is a text string of up to 32 alphanumeric characters.

Timestamp The date and time when the monitoring agent retrieved the data.
