Coupling Facility attributes

Use the Coupling Facility attributes to create table views, charts, and situations that monitor coupling facility characteristics.

Connected Jobname The job name connected to a coupling facility structure. Valid format consists of up to 8 alphanumeric characters, for example, IMS510AI.

Connection Name The name of the connection between an IMS coupling facility and an MVS address space. Valid format consists of up to 16 alphanumeric characters.

Connection Status The status of the connection between an IMS coupling facility member and group. Valid values include ACTIVE, CONNECT, DISCONN, FAIL-PER, and FAILING.

Coupling Facility Name The name of an IMS coupling facility. Valid format consists of up to 8 alphanumeric characters.

Elements Allocated Number of Data Elements allocated for data sharing cache and shared queues list structures only. Valid format is an integer.

Elements Used Number of Data Elements in use for data sharing cache and shared queues list structures only. Valid format is an integer.

Elements Used Percent The number of Elements in use divided by the number of Elements allocated. Applicable to Coupling Facility data sharing cache and shared queues list structures only.

EMCs Allocated Number of EMCs allocated for a shared queues list structure only. Valid format is an integer.

EMCs Used Number of EMCs in use for a shared queues list structure only. Valid format is an integer.

EMCs Used Percent EMCs Used Percent is the number of EMCs in use divided by the number of EMCs allocated. Applicable to Coupling Facility shared queues list structures only.

False Contention The number of contentions that the IRLM thought were competing for the same database resource. Valid format is an integer, for example, 893. An IRLM subsystem identifies a contention, but the IRLM grants a lock to a contending IRLM subsystem because the contending IRLM is requesting access to a different segment in the database.

False Contention Rate The number of false contentions divided by the number of seconds during the collection interval.

Global Contention The total number of contentions competing for the same database resource. Valid format is an integer.

Global Contention Rate The number of global contentions divided by the number of seconds during the collection interval.

Group Name The name of a data sharing or shared queues group. Valid format consists of up to 8 alphanumeric characters, for example, IRLMD1.

Group Type Indicates the type of group, including DataSharingGroup and SharedQueuesGroup.

IMSID The IMS Subsystem identifier. Valid format consists of up to 4 alphanumeric characters, for example, IMSA.

LockTable Delay Count Deprecated. Use LockTable Delay Count Extended Precision instead.

LockTable Delay Count Extended Precision For Coupling Facility data sharing lock structures, the number of requests that experienced a delay in servicing (64 bit). Valid format is an integer.

LockTable Delay Percent For Coupling Facility data sharing lock structures, the percentage of requests issued that experienced a delay in servicing.

LockTable Entries Allocated For Coupling Facility data sharing lock structures, the number of Entries allocated in the lock table portion of the lock structure. Valid format is an integer.

LockTable Entries Used For Coupling Facility data sharing lock structures, the number of Entries in use in the lock table portion of the lock structure. Valid format is an integer.

LockTable Entries Used Percent For Coupling Facility data sharing lock structures, the Lock Table Used Percent is the number of Lock Table Entries in use divided by the number of Lock Table Entries Allocated.

LockTable Request Count Deprecated. Use LockTable Request Count Extended Precision instead.

LockTable Request Count Extended Precision For Coupling Facility data sharing lock structures, the total number of requests (IXLLOCK, IXLRT, and IXLSYNCH) issued for the lock structure (64 bit). Valid format is an integer.

MVS System The MVS System Management Facility (SMF) identifier. Valid format consists of up to 4 alphanumeric characters, for example, SP11.

Originating System Identifier Fully identifies the originating IMS subsystem. Valid format consists of up to 32 alphanumeric characters, for example, I91A:SP22:IMS.

Record Entries Allocated The total number of record entries allocated for a coupling facility data sharing lock structure, or the number of data entries allocated for a coupling facility data sharing cache, or the shared queues list structure. Valid format is an integer.

Record Entries Used The total number of record entries in use for a coupling facility data sharing lock structure, or the number of data entries allocated for a coupling facility data sharing cache, or the shared queues list structure. Valid format is an integer.

Record Entries Used Percent The number of record entries used divided by the number of record entries allocated.

Structure Name The name of an IMS coupling facility structure. Valid format consists of up to 16 alphanumeric characters, for example, IRLMLT1.
