Db2 function level support
When you install a PTF for a Db2® function level in a Db2 subsystem or data sharing group, enhancements associated with that PTF might become enabled for IBM Z OMEGAMON AI for Db2, even if you have not yet activated the corresponding function level.
For example, if you have currently activated function level 100 and you install PTFs for function level 506, enhancements related to function level 506 might be enabled even though your system is only activated at function level 100.
Important: If you install PTFs for function levels that are higher than your currently activated function level, you must install the IBM Z OMEGAMON AI for Db2 toleration PTF for the code level as indicated below. This ensures that enhancements for function levels higher than your activated version do not introduce problems.
To learn more about Db2 function levels, see Db2 13 function levels in the Db2 13 documentation.
The levels of function level support are defined as follows:
- Tolerated
- The product works as it did on a previous release or function level of Db2 for z/OS®, but it does not support the new features of this function level.
- Supported
- The product supports most, but not necessarily all, of the new function-level features that IBM deems the most significant for this product.
