Bookmarking workspaces using commands

You can bookmark some workspaces in the OMEGAMON® enhanced 3270 user interface by using commands.

About this task

Using the bookmarking workspaces feature, you can quickly navigate to frequently used workspaces and save those bookmarks for subsequent logons.

Procedure

1. In the E3270UI, go to the workspace that you want to bookmark. For example, All Active DB2 Subsystems.
2. To bookmark the workspace, complete the following steps:
   1. In the command line, type BOOK.
   2. In Alias Name, type the alias name for the bookmark.
   3. Click Save.
   4. To confirm the profile name for which you want to save the bookmark, press Enter.
3. To replace the alias name for a bookmark, complete the following steps:
   1. In the command line, type BOOK.
   2. In Alias Name, replace the alias name for the bookmark.
   3. In Replace existing, type Y.
   4. Click Save.
   5. To confirm the profile name for which you want to replace the alias name of the bookmark, press Enter.
4. To view the bookmarked workspaces, go to the View menu and select User Bookmarks or type V.U in the command area.
5. To remove a bookmark, complete the following steps:
   1. In the command line, type UNBOOK.
   2. Select the bookmark that you want to remove.
   3. To delete the bookmark, click Save.
   4. To confirm the profile name for which you want to save the bookmark, press Enter.
