Analyze and tune buffer pools

OMEGAMON for Db2® PE enables you to tune buffer pools, identify the optimal use of buffer pool resources, and simulate the impact of possible changes.

You can use this feature to:

• Generate comprehensive reports on buffer pool activity based on a variety of identifiers such as buffer pool, plan, object, and primary authorization ID
• Sort, filter, and load buffer pool data into Db2 tables
• Simulate changes to your buffer pool settings
• Move Db2 objects to a different buffer pool
• Optimize the use of available buffer pool memory
• Adjust buffer pool thresholds and group objects with similar characteristics in the same buffer pools
