Object Analysis Workspace

The Object Analysis workspace provides an overview of object allocation data, database activities, and database activities based on threads and volume usage.

Use this workspace to evaluate and analyze your system to determine whether you are using resources correctly and investigate any issues related to a single Db2 subsystem database.

This workspace is comprised of the following views:

Object Analysis Database (table view): Shows databases that contain spaces that are currently allocated to the Db2 subsystem.
Object Analysis Database Activity (table view): Shows a high-level analysis of Getpage and I/O activity.
Object Analysis Thread Activity (table view): Displays the usage of the Object Analysis database by thread.
Object Analysis Volume (table view): Provides information that you can use to analyze I/O activity for a single volume in a Db2 database.
Object Analysis Volume Thread (table view): Shows volume activity by thread.

Tip: Some workspaces include links that you can open to view detailed information about specific objects, threads, or spaces. You can use the detailed information to identify potential problems, analyze existing problems, and apply fixes to avoid issues.

Based on the information that this workspace provides, you can recommend changes, set up situations, and verify that your recommended changes improve system performance.
