Updating the Performance Expert Client

You must update to the new Performance Expert Client when you update the V5.5.0 OMEGAMON Collector. The old Performance Expert Client does not work with the new server.

Procedure

Complete the instructions in Installing and configuring Performance Expert Client of this guide.

Use the same installation directory for the new Performance Expert Client. You do not need to uninstall the old version before beginning because the new version overwrites the old version. Subsystem definitions in the old Performance Expert Client are automatically imported into the new Performance Expert Client. You do not need to manually export and then import the definitions.
