Explanation

The output data set used by the Collect facility subtask could not be opened.
  • <V1> is the return code which identifies why the open failed:
    4
    The data set was opened successfully, but warning messages were issued.
    8
    The data set could not be opened.
    12
    The data set was already opened.

User response

This message is often accompanied by a system message which details the problem and course of action. If the data set was already opened, ensure that the same data set is not used by another Collect subtask you have started. If this is the case, then a different data set should be allocated to the Collect subtask that failed.
