Leverage snapshot history data to solve problems

OMEGAMON for Db2 Performance Expert gathers snapshot history data and uses that information to examine the events that happen before and after an exception, without requiring the recreation of the situation that caused the exception. The OMEGAMON Collector stores snapshot history data in a wrap-around-managed snapshot history data set.

You can use this feature to:

• Define the number of and frequency with which snapshots are stored
• View snapshots at a specified point-in-time using the Performance Expert Client
• Navigate forward and backward through a history of your snapshot data to gain a better understanding of past events
• Identify underlying problems such as bottlenecks, deadlocks, or timeouts
