Switching to Configuration Manager from PARMGEN

To switch your existing PARMGEN configuration to Configuration Manager, use the Configuration Manager MIGRATE action. Consider using the in-place migrate option. Alternatively, you can create a new runtime environment using new high-level qualifiers.

1. Make a copy of the sample program TKANCUS(KFJJMCM) and customize as instructed in the JCL.
2. Run the MIGRATE action to create an RTEDEF/SECEXITS and, optionally, an EMBEDS data set to contain the PARMGEN parameter settings for your RTE.
3. Change any high-level qualifiers for your environment.
4. Adopt new parameters introduced in 5.5.0 that simplify the Classic Near Term History configuration.
5. Run the GENERATE action to create your runtime environment.
6. Complete the steps in Completing the Configuration.
