Buffer Pool Analyzer

Buffer Pool Analyzer enables you to monitor, analyze, and tune buffer pools by using two components, buffer pool simulations that anticipate future behavior.Buffer Pool Analyzer enables you to monitor, analyze, and tune buffer pools by running buffer pool simulations that anticipate future behavior. Buffer Pool Analyzer offers two tools to provide this functionality, Buffer Pool Analyzer Reports and the Buffer Pool Analyzer Client.

Buffer Pool Analyzer Reports provides buffer pool analysis that is based on batch reports. Buffer Pool Analyzer Client provides buffer pool analysis provided through a Performance Expert Client.

Together, the functionality provided through Buffer Pool Analyzer Reports and the Buffer Pool Analyzer Client enables you to:

• Collect of buffer pool related performance data
• Create reports about buffer pool performance and group buffer pool performance
• Convert performance data to formats suitable for client-based functions and for loading into Db2 tables
• Create graphical representations of buffer pool performance data
• Simulate and optimize the effects of different buffer pool attributes based on actual performance data
• Conduct long-term analysis of historical and current performance data
