Use EXPLAIN information to tune SQL queries and statements

You can use OMEGAMON for Db2 Performance Expert to view Explain information and generate EXPLAIN reports that help you to decide how best to tune your SQL queries.

OMEGAMON for Db2 Performance Expert's built-in Explain functions include Easy Explain and EXPLAIN reporting.

You can use this feature to:

• View the information while browsing or editing a data set containing SQL statements
• Generate EXPLAIN reports that show access plan information for all of the SQL statements found in the collected performance information
