Setting up the execution trace sample

You use the Samples Console to set up this sample.

Procedure

  1. Open the Samples Console (see Running samples from the the Samples Console).
  2. Open the Samples Commands tab, expand Samples Commands > Rule Execution Server > Execution trace.
  3. Double-click the deploy.ruleapp command to do the following tasks:
    • Compile the class that uses the REST API.
    • Use the Rule Designer build automation tool to generate a RuleApp, and deploy it and its associated XOM to the Rule Execution Server.
  4. To see the results, open a web browser and type the following URL to start the Rule Execution Server console: http://localhost:<PORT>/res
  5. Use resAdmin as the user name and password to log on to the Rule Execution Server console.
  6. Click the Explorer tab. In the RuleApps view, you can see the newly added trace_rules_de RuleApp.
  7. Click the trace_rules_de RuleApp, and then the trace_rules_deRuleset ruleset. Notice that the ruleset uses the decision engine and has a managed XOM called trace-xom.
