Completing the configuration of Rule Execution Server

You can run diagnostics from the console to verify that you have successfully configured Rule Execution Server.

Procedure

To run the Rule Execution Server diagnostics:

  1. Start Tomcat by launching startup.bat in <CATALINA_HOME>/bin
  2. Open the Rule Execution Server console by typing res with the root URL on the host machine:

    http://localhost:8080/res

  3. Sign in to the Rule Execution Server console.
    The log for the Rule Execution Server console is written to <CATALINA_HOME>/logs/res-console.log.
  4. Click the Diagnostics tab.
  5. Click Run Diagnostics.
    A report shows all the diagnostic tests that have been run.

Results

The Rule Execution Server console does not detect the XU until they are fully initialized and registered to JNDI. Therefore, the diagnostics show Local XU connectivity in a warning state until after the first use of the XU.
