Stopping the sample server

You can stop the sample server through a start menu shortcut, a command prompt, or the Samples Console.

About this task

You stop the sample server when you no longer need it.

Procedure

To stop the sample server:
  • On Windows:
    • Windows 10 or later: Start > All Programs > <ODM> > Stop Sample Server
    • Windows 11: Start > All apps > <ODM> > Stop Sample Server.

    The variable <ODM> refers to the package group specified in IBM® Installation Manager during installation. The default package group is Operational Decision Manager V9.6.0.

  • On all platforms, type the directory <InstallDir>/shared/bin into a command line, type stopserver, and press Enter. Windows uses .bat files, and Mac OS and Linux® use .sh files.
  • All platforms: Click the Stop the sample Server button "" in the Sample Server view.

Results

The Console view shows the progress of the shutdown procedure, including when the server finishes shutting down.
