Configuring Rule Execution Server on the Liberty profile

To use Rule Execution Server on the WebSphere Liberty profile, you establish your database and deploy the provided archives.

Before you start
You configure Rule Execution Server on WebSphere Liberty by first creating the database and then deploying the archives.
Step 1: Deploying the Rule Execution Server management archive
Deploy the archive file to use Rule Execution Server on the WebSphere Liberty profile.
Step 2: Deploying the hosted transparent decision service
You deploy the DecisionService archive to enable hosted transparent decision services (HTDS). In Liberty, the XU is packaged inside this archive.
Step 3: Deploying the testing and simulation archive
You deploy the testing and simulations archives to enable testing and simulation from the Decision Center consoles.
Creating a schema for the Rule Execution Server database
After you deploy the Rule Execution Server management archive, the schema for the Rule Execution Server database must be created.
Completing the configuration of Rule Execution Server
You can verify that you have successfully configured Rule Execution Server by opening the console and running the diagnostics tool.
Configuring Rule Execution Server for different environments
According to your development phases, you can set up different Rule Execution Server environments (for example development, QA, and production).
