Move to the decision engine
If you have projects that use the classic rule engine, you must switch them to the decision engine in Operational Decision Manager 8.11.1. The decision engine delivers greater performance and efficiency for faster loading (bytecode), compilation, and rule execution.
The decision engine runs in the execution server. It powers the testing and simulation features, and runs RuleApps under development and in production.
Attention: You cannot revert back to the classic rule engine after you migrate to the
decision engine.

- Operational Decision Manager 8.12.0 and newer
versions do not support the classic rule engine. Convert your rule projects to the decision engine
