Rule Execution Server set up for production

System administrators are responsible for setting up and installing the hardware and software that is appropriate to run Rule Execution Server. After installation is complete, they deploy RuleApps and client applications to the application server.

A production application server is likely to require multiple Rule Execution Server deployments on a cluster spread over multiple servers.

The simplest production server consists of a cluster with a main node and a failover node. You install an application server on each node to create the cluster, and then install Rule Execution Server on each application server. All Rule Execution Server instances in the cluster are managed from a single Rule Execution Server console that runs on the main node.

After you have set up your production server, you can use the deployment wizard to deploy a RuleApp to one or more Rule Execution Server instances.
