Object model and deployment options for PL/I

When you create a rule project to run rules in a PL/I application on z/OS®, you must know what type of object model you are starting from, and where you want to run your rules.

You can define an execution object model (XOM) from a PL/I include file.

You can share rule projects between Java™ and PL/I platforms, so that you can run the same rules in both environments.

You can deploy your rules to zRule Execution Server for z/OS and call the rules from a PL/I application as a batch or CICS® application.

You can start from a PL/I model, choose where to deploy, and run your rules in any of the supported environments.
