Reporting usage metrics with IBM Usage Metering Service
Usage metrics are collected with the IBM Usage Metering Service.
About this task
It is your responsibility to maintain compliance with the licensing terms and conditions. However, to audit the use of IBM software, the Usage Metering Service is used to capture business value metrics and send, automatically and periodically, compliance data for auditing purposes to IBM Software Central.
The metric is associated to the license identifier. In Software Central, you should see the metrics under one of the productId identifier.

The following metrics are collected:

By default, the first audit snapshot that the Usage Metering Service receives contains all data that is collected from the previous 732 days. If the snapshot is successfully delivered to Software Central, each consecutive snapshot contains data from the next day after the last date of the previous snapshot.
