Uninstalling product components

Use Installation Manager to uninstall components or the entire Operational Decision Manager product.

Before you begin

Before you uninstall, stop all processes that might access existing Operational Decision Manager databases. In particular, if you use H2 databases, stop the H2 Java™ process, and ensure that your current database directory does not have a residual H2 lock file. The presence of the H2 lock file causes the uninstall to fail. To remove the H2 lock file, go to <InstallDir>/shared/data/h2/resdb and remove the db.lck file.

Stop all the applications that run on the product, including the server, the local help, and any instance of Rule Designer.

If your packages have any dependencies, you must uninstall the packages and their dependencies.

You must use the same user privileges to uninstall Operational Decision Manager that you used to install the components on your workstation.

Uninstall Operational Decision Manager with the correct instance of Installation Manager:

  • If you installed the product as an administrator, you must use the administrator instance of Installation Manager to uninstall it. You can access the administrator instance through the IBM® Installation Manager start menu shortcut.
  • If you did not install the product as an administrator, you must use the nonadministrator instance of Installation Manager to uninstall it.
