Comparing ruleflow editors

Learn about the differences between the new and legacy ruleflow editors.

Rule Designer has a new ruleflow editor. The editor includes functionality from the legacy editor, which is still available in Rule Designer.

Deprecated feature:

Deprecation icon The legacy ruleflow editor is deprecated as of V9.0.0.0. See Deprecated and removed features for migration details.

Tip: When you double-click a ruleflow file, it opens in the editor used to create the file.

To select a different ruleflow editor when you open the file:

  1. Right-click your ruleflow file in Rule Explorer.
  2. Select Open With.
  3. Click one of the following commands:
    • New Ruleflow Editor: Opens the file in the ruleflow editor, which contains the latest features.
    • Legacy Ruleflow Editor: Opens the file in the legacy ruleflow editor, which can be found in previous releases of Operational Decision Manager.
The file opens in the selected editor, and remains associated with that editor.
