Setting up the web authoring application sample

You use the Samples Console to install this sample.

About this task

This task takes you through the steps for running the web authoring application with the Samples Console and the sample server.

Procedure

To install this sample:

Open the Samples Console (see Running samples from the Samples Console).
In the Samples Commands tab, expand Samples Commands > Decision Center > Web authoring application.
Double-click run to compile, package, and deploy the application to the sample server.
Wait for the application to start. When the application is ready, the console displays this message:

The application has been deployed. Open your browser and navigate to dcclient
Completed: run
BUILD SUCCESSFUL
```

Results

The run target builds and deploys the Server Components application on the sample server. In addition, the target modifies the Loan Validation Service decision service to enforce project security, give access rights to the project to a specific group of users, and set a permission profile for the groups.
