Filtering the results

You can use the Rule Analysis view to filter your rule projects by using decision operations that use a query or validator for extracting a subset of the rules.

About this task

If you are working on a large rule project for which a full analysis might take some time to complete, you can use the advanced options of Rule Analysis view to filter the results.

  • You can select a decision operation that uses a query or validator to extract a subset of the rules.

  • In automatic run mode, you can lock the display to the results of a given analysis cycle while another is running in the background.

  • To work on different analyses concurrently, you can create multiple views.

When you analyze your rule project, you might not want results for all the rules in your rule project. If you prefer to analyze only a subset of your rules, you can use the Rule Analysis view to filter your rule project by using suitable decision operations. These decision operations must be based on the queries in your rule projects. For more information about decision operations, see Decision operations.

Procedure

To select a filter:

  1. Click the Select Rule Project and an Operation button "" in the view toolbar.
  2. In the Select Rule Project and an Operation dialog, click Browse.

  1. In the Operation Selection dialog, select a decision operation and click OK.
