Upgrading and migrating

Upgrade your components by installing the latest Operational Decision Manager. Then, migrate your existing repositories to the databases of the upgraded components to apply the latest features.

Important:
  • Operational Decision Manager 8.12.0 and newer versions do not support the classic rule engine. If you have rule projects that use the classic rule engine, convert them to the decision engine in a previous version such as Operational Decision Manager 8.11.1, and then migrate them to a newer version.   • Rulesets compiled in ODM 8.11.x (using decision engine 1.50.x) or later, and XOMs based on Java™ 8 work in ODM 9.6.
  • If you use IBM® WebSphere® Application Server, you must switch to a supported application server. The recommended server is IBM WebSphere Liberty (see Configuring on Liberty profile).
