Configuring on Liberty profile

To use Operational Decision Manager on WebSphere® Application Server Liberty, create your databases and deploy the provided archives.

You must have a WebSphere Liberty profile server. You can create one by running the server command from <WLP_HOME>/bin. For example: server create odm. For more information, see Installing Liberty in the Liberty documentation.

Before you configure the application server, see Mandatory: Create the databases. To protect your system and data, see also Guidelines for GDPR readiness and Securing Operational Decision Manager.

For more information about the profile server, see Starting and stopping a server from the command line and Directory locations and properties in the Liberty documentation.

The recommended or ideal topology for setting up Decision Server and Decision Center is to isolate components in different configurations for the stages of the lifecycle of a decision service, and provide high availability and scalability through balanced clusters. For more information, see Recommended topology for ODM on Premise in the IBM TechXchange Community.
