Tutorials
Tutorials are the quickest and best way to become familiar with ODM on IBM Cloud Private.
The ODM repositories on GitHub provide access to a continuously updated list of tutorials and samples. You can use these resources to learn more about the components of ODM whether they apply to ODM on-premises or on the cloud. You can also find there a getting started tutorial that targets ODM on IBM Cloud Private.
Getting started tutorial
- Getting started for ODM on IBM Cloud Private
- The getting started tutorial demonstrates how to manage and update your business policies in
Decision
Center, and how to deploy and call them
in an execution environment. In the tutorial, you work in the Business console to update a decision
service that a loan company uses to determine whether borrowers are eligible for loans. You learn
how to collaborate with other users to create and modify rules, manage changes, run tests, and
deploy the decision service.Tip: The tutorials in the IBM® Knowledge Center for ODM on Cloud can also be run with the miniloan project that is provided on GitHub.
Projects available to validate your releases of ODM for developers
By default, a deployed decision service is ready to be used in Decision Center and in the Decision Server console in releases of ODM for developers. The loan validation decision service is used in other ODM tutorials, and its scenario is described here. It is deployed to an internal database on IBM Cloud Private so that you have a starting point to check that your release is successfully configured and operational.
The
tutorials are short and take less than 5 minutes to complete.
