If you provision an Operational Decision Manager virtual
application pattern and the resulting instance is not as you expected
or if there are errors, check the log files in the log viewer.
About this task
You can view the virtual application instance log files in
the log viewer. You can also download the log files.
Procedure
To view and download the virtual application instance
log files, complete the following steps in the Virtual Application
Instances window:
- Select IBM ODM Application Pattern Type 8.5.
- Select the virtual application instance from the listing. The application instance opens.
- Click Virtual machine perspective from
the application instance.
- To open the log viewer, under the VM Status column
of the individual virtual machine, click Log.
- Expand each section to view the logs. You can
view the following types of logs:
- IBM® ODM deployment logs
- In the following location: ../logs/PC_Role_name_Number.Role_name.
In the previous file path, Role_name can be DMGR, CUSTOMNODE, CMNDB, ODMDB, PDWDB,
or IHS.
- IBM ODM profile logs
- In the following location: /opt/IBM/ODM/v85/profiles/Profile_name/logs/: Role_name and
then Log_path.
- Optional: Download the log file. After
you expand the log type and select a log, you can click the green
arrow to download the log.
Tip: When you use some versions
of the Internet Explorer Web browser, you might receive the following
error message: Unable to download. Internet Explorer
was unable to open this site. The requested site is either unavailable
or cannot be found. Try again later. This is a web
browser limitation. A workaround for several versions of the Internet
Explorer Web browser is provided on the Microsoft support page.
